The covid 19 impacted many sectors in their profession and occupation. It also affected teachers recruitment and retention. Also in the beginning of April 2020 the teachers recruitment come down to 50% to 60% that year recruiting season has been closed. Another problem faced by schools and collages were holding interviews for staffs due to social distancing. The survey reveal many schools paused recruitment because they don't know how to run an online interview system. Uncertainly about staffing also an problem faced by recruiting officers.
Teachers faced so many problems during covid 19 period. They show many stories in TV and social media about teachers experience ,problems and how they take classes in online. Because they don't have any experience to take online classes. Technical errors also give more problems to teachers. So many teachers leave their profession also because of given pressure by school officers.
Every year hundred of teachers leave their profession to pursue other job opportunities in other industries. Either teachers who were in the profession for ten to twenty years or recently qualified. One of the impact of covid 19 on recruitment and retention of teachers most of the number are newly qualified that trained to during that year. Teachers shortage too remain in the profession.
Government use early career payments to teachers for certain subjects as a way of encouraging retention rates. Other recent initiatives to encourage teachers recruitment that they introducing student loan reimbursement scheme for science and language teachers in certain local authorities. Policy markers and school leaders want to wise to invest more good working conditions for long terms success and also high professional development. The covid pandemic required school districts and teachers preparation programes to make major changes in school system. They also aimed to give bonus for teachers.
