Introduction:-
Corona Virus Disease-2019 is vector or carrier born disease. It is a communicable disease originated in Wuhan, China. Due to the fast spreading of this disease all the countries decided to lockdown the people in their houses. Employees had to work from home and students had to attend online classes from home. Basic precautions taken was sanitizing the house, hands, food products etc. frequently. The pandemic of COVID-19 essentially shifted education from traditional to an digital version. Due to this substantial situation the importance of technology integration and digital literacy on education is raised and teachers had to develop their skills respectively. Teacher professional development is impacted in the fields of technology integration and digital literacy.
Modern teaching methods:-
The pandemic encouraged the need for teachers to become skilled in using digital tools to instruct, communicate and collaborate. It resulted in increased prominence on areas like virtual classroom management and digital content creation. Teachers needed professional development as schools transitioned between in-person, hybrid and fully online learning models to effectively navigate these various teaching models and to effectively operate physical and virtual classrooms. The sudden shift of research and education to remote teaching resulted in increased anxiety and burnout among educators.
Conclusion:-
The skills acquired by the teachers during the pandemic will probably have a long term impact on education. As technology becomes an integral part of teaching and learning, these skills will continue to be relevant.
